Actively seeking opportunities with an emphasis on electronic circuit design and testing, component optimization, parametric modeling and embedded hardware integration in the Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area.
Experience
L3Harris Technologies – Mason, OH May 2019 – Present
Electronic Test Technician 2 – R&O, Space and Sensors Division
Perform functional tests on IRST camera systems utilizing standard engineering procedures and appropriate test equipment to identify sub-assemblies with defects, failures or anomalies. Complete rework/repair of the systems and/or sub-assemblies identified as defective and conduct performance and quality assurance testing to verify correct system performance. Document product configuration information, current status of units under test, troubleshooting efforts and failure identification information. Support completion of assembly operations to meet delivery expectations while identifying ways to improve current production processes to reduce the number of defects.
Northern Kentucky University – Highland Heights, KY January 2018 – May 2019
Research and Development Assistant - Department of Engineering Technology
Funded by a grant award from the Center for Integrative Natural Science and Mathematics
developed operating system code and implemented hardware for an 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller system to perform laboratory environment monitoring, robot safety cage control and remote I/O via a cellular data link. I created a plain text parsing system which allows commands to be sent to - and responses received from - the monitoring system via standard text messaging over a 2G GSM network. Prior to graduation I completed all aspects of the prototype hardware development including schematic design, PCB layout, parametric BOM analysis, control software development and performed system integration and testing of the system in the NKU manufacturing lab.
Sallie Mae – Mason, OH July 2011 – May 2015
Implementation Manager
Managed a development team responsible for implementing an enterprise level software transition.
Established user requirements for offices in Ohio, Indiana and New York. Provided solutions/constraints to executive management for final approval prior to implementation.
Conducted analysis and provided feedback to senior management for operation status meetings.
Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington – Covington, KY February 2003 – February 2011
IT Manager
Provided support for Exchange, application servers and desktop software.
Developed and maintained the agency website and created digital file tracking for volunteer opportunities and training.
Implemented and maintained HIPPA compliant electronic case file, time tracking, and billing systems. Transitioned physical file archive to a custom bar-code ID database with automated email notifications.
Prepared internal and external financial and performance reports, multimedia presentations and documentation for Fiscal Courts and United Way.
